There have been a number of studies as to cost etc., re: fencing the
southern border. The cost is actually very low in relation to moving
military to the border to say nothing of what illegals are costing
America. One suggestion is to breaks in the fencing every mile. This
would permit wildlife normal passage but would funnel illegals toward
checkpoints. Modern sensing devices would instantly detect fence
tampering. The problems is that a weak congress and adminstration dare
not even tackle the problem. Bush talks nonsense about a "Guest
Worker/Amnesty" program but does not even talk about controling the
flow of illegals.

You lost it right there. It's pointless to pretend our borders are "secure"
unless fencing is complete. That means every linear foot around the entire
perimeter, N, S, E, and W. I won't bother you with problems like beaches,
harbors, etc. but leave you to flounder in your own piss-poor answers....
After you spend a decade or two designing your improbable/impractical
fencing system, you're left with the fact that terrorists have done pretty
well so far just coming in legally through international airports. Duh.

Name me 1 president who has successfully stopped illegals from
getting in this country Hank - just one. Quit blaming Bush for
every damn problem in the world. It's getting old.

Not for any of the original accusations the righties made, such as murder
( twice ), the so called drug dealing in Mena ( no evidence, no
conviction, nothing ), not for travelgate, not for Whitewater.
His disbarment had absolutely nothing to do with the accusations the right
wing made to keep Special Prosecutors constantly harrassing him.
That's an unpleasant fact for you right wingers so you just ignore it no
matter how many times it's brought up.
