The company I was buying my canes from seems to have gone bust. Can
anyone recommend a source for marine grade finished rattan canes? I'd
rather try to avoid finishing them myself, but need the benefits of the
finish.

Thanks

Um, isn't it a bit difficult to put much force behind a whack when doing it
underwater, though?

No Brian, you misunderstand. A "marine grade" cane is designed to be
used by Marine Corps drill sergeants.

Your Humble Jester,

Philip the Foole

Drill Sergeant: I'll bet you're the kind of guy that would fuck a person
in the ass and not even have the goddam common courtesy to give him a
reach-around.

Damn. I was thinking this was the sort of canes one uses on Marines.
I was ready to stock up and head to the nearest base. Guess I got all
excited for nothing...

Heh!

Thinking of the Corps (as I listened to the band play this morning),
I'm reminded of this line:

"Because no one is fit to be a master, and no one deserves to be a
slave."

Not wishing to get off on a rant here, but that one line proves that
we've got the wrong guy as President!
