tie it vertically like a clothes line from tree to tree ,
run it along the top of a fence , run it along the roof of the house ,
put two poles up in the backyard

I was thinking of making a frame like a dish from 1/2 inch copper rods
and then wrap bare 20 or 22 gauge wire around it for the mesh and then
hoist it up a pole.Should get good reception.If not,then I'll do the
clothes line thing.

just make sure you ground it , if lightening hits it ,
it will fly right into the radio and then into the wall and ,
you're house will go ... boom

i guess you can use nearly anything you like though ,
it just depends on how far you want to recieve signals from

then you'll need something a little fancier than copper tubes and wire
if you're looking for anthing consistant , but copper and wire will work ,
late at night probably , if there aren't many things like hospital machines or fax machines close to where you are

yea , its not all that complicated but remember the grounding part , it helps reception too
