 | I'm working as the organizer for the V-Week events here at University
of Mississippi, Oxford, MS.
We are looking for contact info for feminist rockers or rock groups
who may be willing to perform in a benefit capacity for the V-Week
events.
V-Week College Campaign raises money for organizations and shelters
that help women who are victims of violence and money for
international programs dealing with ending violence against women and
girls.
This is my third year as an organizer for this event - and my second
university.
This year we are trying to bring in a group of lesser-known feminist
artists or one big-name artist to perform in order to reach our goal
of raising $10,000 for local/international women's aid organizations.
We are doing several events throughout the month of February ('05), of
which this would be one that would be primary.
Publicity for the event will be widespread. We will attempt to get as
much local and national coverage as possible.
