I found this examination on the effect of Franco-era religious
schooling and ual abuse on the lives of two long time friends
quite fascinating. It is not the sort of movie I would take my
niece to see, though, as it is quite typical of Almodovar's work,
focusing in on the transvestite and prostitute underworld.
The plot is a little complicated but it all works out in the end,
although the ending was a little flat.
