 | Is the difference between polyamory and polygamy the fact that polygamy is one man married to several women who are not married to one another and in polyamory it is just as often more men than women as more women than men and quite often each in the group is married to each other in the group. Polgamy has gotten a bad rap at times since some religious communities have forced marrriage of girls, and this has shed a bad light on polyamory, which it shouldn't do since polyamory in the most part is all consensual and all adult.
But, referring to my four orientation theory, to which I have recently added notes on lifespan at the end, http://www.nfld.com/~dalton/4O.html , in a bridged V threesome such as 4thO-F--bim-- the bim is married to both the 4thO-F and the and they are not married except platonically to one another.
But in a triangle of 4thO-F--(2bims) the three are all married to one another in the group marriage, and on the above web page I divine at the end that they have a nine year lifespan advantage over just as 4thO-F--bim twosome.
Is there still a FAQ file for alt.polyamory and if so is it archived on a web site or can you point to when and under which subject it was last posted on alt.polyamory .
I guess in North America most polyamorists have private group marriage contracts so far.
I have set Followup-To to alt.polyamory but override that if you wish.
