DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the planning, managing
and technical performance of the Power Systems Product Line.
This position directs all phases of the product from
conceptualization through completion, including the
identification and development of a variety of potential markets.
In consultation with Company management develop and implement
annual and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business and
financial objectives for the product and participate in and
contribute to the development of annual and long-term objectives
for the Company. Represent the Company with customers, and
business and non-business communities; ensure technical
leadership and excellence are maintained; champion the
development of new or expansion of existing business
opportunities. Provide leadership and direct all phases of
project(s)/program(s) including acquiring, planning, and managing
technical performance to ensure quality, business and financial
objectives are attained. Identifies potential markets and
participates in and oversees contract acquisitions, negotiations
and modifications. Coordinates the preparation of proposals,
business plans, proposal work statements and specifications,
operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract(s).
Acts as the primary customer contact for program activities, lead
program review sessions with customers to discuss costs,
schedule, and technical performance. Establish design concepts,
criteria and engineering efforts for product research,
development, integration and testing. Establishes products
master plans and milestones and monitor adherence to master plan
and schedules. Identifies product issues and provides leadership
in developing solutions such as re-allocation of resources or
modifying contract specifications. Develops and implements annual
and long-term technical, schedule, quality, business, and
financial objectives for the product and participate in the
development of Company objectives. Directs and actively
participates in the development of new and expansion of existing
business opportunities and participate with management in
pursuing business partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures
that enhance the capabilities of the Company. Directs the
development and ensures the security of the unit's proprietary
technology. Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and
other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever
business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Responsible for
ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with
established operating procedures and practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience leading a group of power
systems/ power supply (PS) engineers. Power systems experience
in 5 to 100 kW range. Knowledgeable in the basic principles of
PS engineering and familiar with modern control systems
(microcontrollers, DSP etc.). High Voltage Engineering and
pulsed power experience is desirable. Knowledge of and
substantial contact with the HV power system/supply market is
highly desirable (government and/or commercial). Typically
requires a Bachelors degree, Masters degree or PhD in
Engineering, Science or a related technical field and
progressively more complex technical experience as follows; six
or more years experience with a Bachelors degree, four or more
years experience with a Masters degree, and two or more with a
PhD, as well as seven or more years of program/project management
