Welcome to the IC-Parc PhD programme. If you are interested in planning and optimisation and have a degree in a relevant discipline, we invite you to consider studying for a PhD at IC-Parc. Below, you will find information about applying for a place in the programme and securing a studentship.
Doctoral research in IC-Parc
IC-Parc, the Centre for Planning And Resource Control at Imperial College, is seeking applicants for places on its PhD programme in Planning, Search & Optimisation. The main aim of the programme is to bring basic research together with applications driven requirements. Candidates with interests in either basic research or applications are encouraged to apply. Terms & conditions for studentship
Studentships are awarded on a competitive basis, commencing on 1st October 2005, and cover fees plus a maintenance stipend of £11,580 per annum initially.
Who can apply?
Candidates must have a good upper second-class degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, e.g. computer science, operational research, mathematics. Ideally candidates should have some postgraduate experience (MSc), although this is not essential.
