 | I had a cheilectomy for Hallux rigidus 2 months ago. The 1st part of recovery was pretty typical. Great healing of the scar and good post-op examinations. I grab my big toe (as I was told to by my surgeon) and pull it back with good mobility and little to moderate pain. My concern is in the past few weeks I have noticed little improvement. I can not wear dressy shoes, I still limp when my toe begins to bend in stride and generally I'm nowhere near normal. I guess I'm beginning to panic because the stiff toe pain was more livable then this. Does anyone know how long it might be until I can feel that the surgery was the right decision? The only work out I can even imagine at this time is pilates. I am anxious to get back to Yoga(lots of toe use) and cardio exercise.
