 | Here's something weird. I have an MD appointment in about three weeks for this, but thought I'd throw it out here to see what people here think.
About a year ago I got an ache in my left armpit (toward the front, just barely under the arm) and left pectoral muscle, and up my left arm, and a couple of the fingers on my left hand felt a little numb and tingly. So I basically freaked out and went to the ER, thinking that it might be a heart thing (left side of chest + pain = cardiac issue), where they ran some tests and then basically told me they couldn't find any trouble. So I went home, took Advil for a week, and eventually the aches went away.
This same condition comes back every 2-8 weeks, and seems to last for 1- 2 weeks at a time. Advil eases the aches for 3-6 hours, after which they return. Sometimes resting my arm helps, and sometimes resting it makes it worse. This has been going on for almost a full year now.
What do you suppose this is? Carpel tunnel? Bad posture (I lean on this arm a lot)? Lack of exercise (I sit at a computer all day and half the night)?
