 | Greetings,
I am Alejandro Festini, writing from Venezuela.
I am wondering if I could post a small article in your web page about what the Venezuelan government is currently doing to develop agriculture in our country. And with that, make a proposition to farmers that would like to expand or people that are not farmers but would like to get into farming and would like to come to Venezuela.
Currently the Venezuelan government is giving good land and economical support for equipment to anyone who wants to start a farm or business in the agricultural world in Venezuela.
We have been a country that imports most of its food and we want to change that; we have all the possibilities to develop our own. We have good weather, good land, capacitated professionals, and the people that work the land and harvest are cheap. All we were missing was the initiative. Now with the governments support, people are studying the possibilities and taking advantage of it.
The government is giving from up to 2.000.000 sq meters to 4.000.000 sq meters to private farmers with a project, and from 10.000.000 to 20.000.000 sq meters (or more, depending on the project) of land to what we call cooperatives. Which is a group of farmers joined together to start a farming community that manages many types of farming (vegetable, fruit, animal). I am seeking people from abroad with different specialties to start cooperatives. People who have experience in fruit and vegetable agriculture, and animal farming (from pigs to regular beef).Venezuela is a great and beautiful country to live in, and specially to work the land in. I would like to find people that want to move here and start a business in this area; and have them contact me.
I seek to start a cooperative in which we associate and work on different fields from vegetable planting, to animal farming, cow milking, etc.
The purpose of posting the small article and proposition is to reach people, put the article where it can be seen by people with these interests, and in volumes.
I appreciate any help from you.
Thank you, Alejandro Festini and Alexandra Festini. afestini@hotmail.com
