blog as part of its Milk is Milk consumer education website,
www.milkismilk.com. CGFI Research and Education Director Alex Avery
will provide regular commentary and analysis on issues important to
dairy producers and consumers. Avery's inaugural post addresses recent
claims and complaints from former journalists-turned-activists Steve
Akre and Jane Wilson who, in 1997, assembled a controversial report
which included allegations regarding the safety of milk linked to the
use of productivity supplements by dairy farmers. Avery explores the
