The images below were taken at Sompasaari port in Helsinki, Finland. The
images were taken 10th of January, 2005. At that time there was an unusual
flood around Finland's coastline, caused by the recent storms in Northern
Europe. The level of water had been even higher before these pics were
taken. Most of the cars are owned by a Finnish company called VV-auto, the
importer of Audi, Seat and VW in Finland. The cars were waiting for
transportation to local dealers in Finland. So far it's not sure what will
happen to all these cars. Propably at least part of the cars will be
returned back to the factory and taken apart, and sold as spare parts.
VV-auto has announced that these cars will not be sold to customers, at
least as new cars.
