Saw this board briefly, anyone know what year and what it's best suited for?
Could not find any info on google.

Thanks Will,
There is one for sale here, it's size is what I'm looking for, but
it sounds like a pure wave board, not suitable for flater water or
gorge type conditions?

I haven't spent enough time on that board to really tell you. Weird
things happen with some boards with weight combinations that the board
wasn't designed for. Sometimes a board designed for one thing will work
really well for something it was NOT designed for when you expand the
weight parameters: in other words if you are really light or really
heavy sometimes that completely changes how a board works and thus what
conditions it works well for. The Carver was most likeley designed
around a guy who weighs 180 lbs and sails sideshore waves. If you are in
a totally different weight class, who knows how the board will work in
flat water or Gorge conditions for YOU? It could be perfect, or it could
be a nightmare. I've seen the most un-expected results sometimes. But
based on the numbers, I would guess that there might be a better match
out there for you, unless you want to take a major chance on this board.
It could work out great, who knows? If the price is right, it could be
worth a shot, otherwise, keep looking is my advice.

This was a long paragraph that says, "I have no idea."

It's an older Drops wave board. Not a Sean Ordonez shape, but a pretty
okay board. I think the Carver 83 was Kalama's board, that they turned
into his pro model for a year or two. Really good construction, but the
shape is a little bit specialized.
