Dear Friends and most loyal ones, at that!

Yes, I know, you can't find my eBay auctions, and if you were bidding this
week, you received notice of my suspension.

eBay has "ABSOLUTE DISCRETION" (their term, not mine) and decided to
suspend my account for NO less than 30 days for auctioning knives deemed
"not acceptable."

First came an Antique balisong (made by a very obscure upstate N.Y.
cutlery), the second was a (historically significant) World War II knuckle
knife, then came a United survival knife and my final transgression, a
Gerber Touché U.S. Air Force buckle knife.

I wonder if there are "ILLEGAL" Snoopies??

Clearly eBay is unable to monitor and vet, all of the millions of items
offered daily. Just look and you fill find COUNTLESS balisongs, switch
blades, knuckle knives and the like. Accordingly, they rely to a great
extent upon "Joe Public" to point out any "dubious" items. Therefore, it
takes just one malicious person to get one banned for 30 days. Hope to be
back with you for great auctions by February 20th for knives and the 19th
for Snoops buddy.

Asking for a HUGE favor here....if you knew anyone bidding this week, or
previous auctions, who don't receive my "heads up" notice, each week, I'd
GREATLY appreciate your advising them of my current situation.

Also, being locked out of my account, I cannot leave feedback. As soon as
I'm out of the pillory, I will leave feedback for recent transactions.

Thank you for your emails and moral support,

Cindy

I look at your auctions when ever you post a link. I even bid on a Peter
Bauchop dagger last year.

Sadly it was probably not a bidder or John Q. Public who turned you in
but probably one of your competitors who had a similar item up for
auction and didn't want the competition. Those are unique cutlery
items, they don't come up in a search unless you are looking for them
using certain keywords.

If you were searching using those keywords you would be looking to buy
those items. Are you going to turn someone in who has what you want to
buy? My bet, it was a seller with a similar Knuckle knife. Do a search
for that knife and see what comes up, You will probably find your
culprit.

Cindy, same happened to me. I woke up one morning to find all of my auctions
ended by ebay. They said that they went against policy. Well, I did a quick
search and found over 50 of similar items. When I emailed them and asked
about this, they told me that someone had pointed my auctions out to them.
Well anyway, I try to stay very familiar with the guidelines. Once you have
a human monitor, it will be hard for you to get anything by them. Good
luck!!
