 | huLLy,
I a breeze you'll not want your daughter ANYWHERE near that kite, it WILL drag YOUR butt down the beach and loft her into the air...
Something about the SQUARE of the diff in sizes perhaps... 1.8 vs. 5, roughly 3x or 9x the force... It will, it will. Enjoy 8-)

AHoy, Pirate Dave,
I did buy a Beamer 5 many months ago, and it's great fun... but the kids won't fly it any more, they have been launched into the air too many times lol.
A great kite, a 20 min session is just like getting in a boxing ring..!

 | The beamers are more of a traction foil rather than a lefty type foil. there design is more for buggy, boarding and such like. you can get air with them but it is ruff ride on the way down compared with, say a blade, which is more floaty a landing, the 5 mtr beamer is a little to big for static flying as the amount of pull is just to big, you'll have more fun with the 3.6, i fly the 3.6 for static and then a 5 for buggying even upto the 7mtr. i have a 3.6 here for sale funny enough, brand new unused, bought for the wife but to much pull for her even. fro your daughter you may be better off with a dual line that you can stack as she gets better, there are a few small foils that can stack but safty is paramount. not that im telling you what's right and wrong.
All the best.
