Just got a new Minigem which has the old active bridle on it
( twisted near spine ends)
I've had an ultra-light Gemini for some time and that came with the new
cross active bridle
I also have an old std Gemini which I intend converting to the newer bridle

Question is should the Minigem have the new bridle or is there some reason
for keeping the old one? Otherwise wouldn't Tim have put the new one on it.
This was supposed to have been made to order as I specified my own colours
so I don't expect it was old stock

Thanks
Dave

Ive tried converting my old gem bridle to the new one but I have a
problem with the sheet bend knots on the activators slipping, I followed
Andy's site to the letter and it still wont hold, I then tried all sorts
but the knot will just move after a while, any advice? Ive emailed tim
asking how I can buy a new complete bridle :(

I just received a new cross active bridle for my standard Gemini
from Tim through http://www.highwaymenkites.co.uk/ on 01455230736 it just
needed tying to the frame, cost me £10 and no hassle

The mini-gem has never had an official bridle change. If you want to do one
yourself (it shouldn't take more than an hour) you can find a my suggestion
for a cross-active bridle at www.reeddesign.co.uk/kites/mini-gem.html

There's a link on this page to ABW's site which gives instruction for knots
and converting the original Gem bridle to cross-active.
