 | A beginning Western Square Dance group for singles and couples will
dance on Monday evenings beginning January 17, 2005, from 8 to 10 p.m.
at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 670 East Meadow Drive, Palo Alto, CA.
Sponsored by the Bows & Beaus Singles & Couples Square Dance Club,
registration will be open January 17 and 24 (although we encourage you
to come on January 17 if possible) and these two sessions are FREE.
Why not come on out and join the fun?
Please note that this is a new location for Bows & Beaus -- after 41
years in Mountain View, the club has now moved a short distance north
to Palo Alto. This new location is near the intersection of East
Meadow Drive and Middlefield Road.
No previous dance experience is needed, and you do not need to attend
with a partner, although you may if you wish. The caller (that's me)
really enjoys teaching, and the Bows & Beaus club members appreciate
newer dancers and are glad to lend their help!
Western Square Dancing provides exercise for both the mind and the
body. Dance variety is emphasized as the moves form ever-changing
patterns.
Bows & Beaus has danced since 1963, and is a very enthusiastic and
friendly group of about 90 dancers, including many different age
groups. Originally for singles only, it has evolved into a mixture of
singles and couples who share a love of western square dancing.
