Indeed we will miss 'im...

Some of us, anyway.

Told my boss/landlord he'd passed just after I found out. The response
was "Aw, shit... Another of the greats is gone" and a quiet tear.

The kid who was over helping us overheard. He looked at us like we'd
each sprouted a pecker out of the middle of our foreheads, and said
"Who?" (The kid is only coming up on 16, so we figured it wouldn't be
fair to kill him and hide the body in the muckpile. :) )

Sisss-boom-bahhhh, indeed, Johnny.

Leno ain't even a pimple on your butt in comparison.

Blow up a sheep for me when they let you out of the green room.

The problem with Leno is he talks to us like we are all idiots. Carson,
and Letterman, assume the audience has some intelligence and act
accordingly.

I was sad when Johnny Carson retired... I doubt anyone will ever fill
his shoes.

David Letterman had a response which included "the likes of him will
never be seen again".

Yes and he always overtalks his guests, tho he's gotten a little better
with experience. Johnny always sat back and let his guests do the talking.

You what else he does.... he makes fun of them. I'll never forget when
garth brooks was on.... Leno went on and on about how he was a little
overweight. It got really uncomfortable for Brooks, and the people
watching. I know I was squirming.

He makes fun of people when he goes on the street and finds idiots too,....

I don't know if he makes himself feel somehow better by denigrating
others but I don't like watching it.
