At this yearšs USDF Convention, (Robert Dover) has announced that he will spearhead a campaign to fight the 'low self esteem' of American riders. Hešs launched The American Dressage Idol Competition. If you are 24 years old or younger, send him a video of you and your horse. Hešll give you feedback and then choose three to five pairs to come train with him in April. Hešs donating the cost of board and training. And then one lucky rider will be chosen by Robert to stay in training with him at no charge. I suspect he's referring to the low self esteem of the "Team riders" in the face of international competition, NOT the average "American" rider.
