I have a teapot with an inscription Crusader Plate C.P.N.S.A.I. or it could
be
E.P.N.S.A.I.
Is there anyone that can tell me about this metal or silver plate? I have
looked but cannot find anything about Crusader Plate.
Thank you for your help...

EPNS = Electro-plated Nickel Silver. Not pure silver. Standard method
for plating silver on base metal for past 150 years. Collectable if
over 100 years old, in good condition and nice design, otherwise
useful in the kitchen to make tea.

Crusader plate = silver plated by makers of Crusader products; sounds
like modern trade name. A1 = psuedo quality (not an acknowledged
standard).

A visit to your local library will allow you to find out the other
forms of silver plating.
