Whenever Opera tries to get mail and newsfeed items from a remote server=
=

and the computer is offline, it displays a very unhandy and large error =
=

dialogue saying that there may be network problems. This dialogue isn't =
of =

much use; it actually just disturbs you while working, as it immediately=
=

catches the focus. In addition, unexperienced users may "get in panic" =

because of the term "network problems".

I suggest to replace this unneeded dialogue by a sliding-in message, as =
=

you already implemented it in 8 Beta for incoming messages etc. It could=
=

tell the user something like "Opera tried to fetch your mail but failed.=
=

Maybe you aren't connected to the internet or there are network troubles=
", =

or even shorter. This would also make the interface more consistent.

Kind regards,

While we're on the subject, when the computer is in sleep mode, and then
revived, and the network settings are different, there seems to be no way
to let Opera know. My IMAP connections are hung, and hitting the "Stop"
button in the Mail panel is ineffective. It would be good if Opera dealt
more gracefully with sleep mode.

This, BTW, is on Linux.
