 | Greetings,
In Opera 7.54 for Windows (which I currently am using), one can select an e-mail from the list and immediately view it in the preview pane. Once that e-mail is visible, the File menu offers a "Save as" functionality, which works perfectly: it allows me to save the chosen e-mail to any place I have access to.
For some reason that functionality seems not to be active in Opera 8 Preview for Mac, no matter which e-mail I select, no matter whether it's a pop, imap, news or newsfeed item.
Using OsX 10.3.

"Save as" has been disabled in M2 for all platforms. I'm looking into it.

Opera 7.5x didn't save in a really useful format. Either a text version (loosing most headers, html formatting) or the XML version that is rendered in Opera, which you can't use outside Opera. A proper 'Save' format would be 'eml', saving the raw code of a single message. This can be read in a text editor or imported in many mail clients.

That text version, even when limited in functionality, is preferable to no version at all.
I tend to get purchase receipts and order confirmations through e-mail and I wish to save them outside of my e-mail database.
Now I have to copy - paste.
