Opera doesn't currently understand atom. So all you can do for now is wait.

But You can convert atom to rss :-)

I use Opera M2 and FreePOPs for Gmail.
If you download and use FreePOPs, set your incoming POP Server to: 127.0.0.1 and use Port Number: 2000 Enter your email address: username@gmail.com as your username.
