 | I was on 7.54 and had my Mail and Chat disabled (Preferences > Programs and Paths). When I upgraded to 8.0 beta, I couldn't enable them again because the option was gone and the new method of enabling them (Tools > Mail and Chat accounts) was disabled. I had to edit Enable Mail and Chat in Opera6.ini to fix it.
I suggest 8.0 should ignore this ini entry. Should I file a bug report?

In that sense, they should already know about it. The "Check for upgrade" crashed P4 if you'd previously disabled the mail client. For that reason alone, they really have to ignore that ini setting. But clearly they aren't yet ...
