"I heard what was going on with the wave and so on, and I just thought it was a bit of an exaggeration," said Peter Anstiss, 48, from Sydney, as he shared a beer with his brother in a bar off Patong Beach's main drag. "I didn't think too much about it."
....
"The only problem, as far as Mr Sucharitcharan was concerned, were delays to commercial flights by the unprecedented number of aircraft landing at the airport. The congestion was caused by aid flights coming in and planes bearing the dead, injured and badly shaken, going out."

Fair enough. Why let it ruin your holiday?

It must have taken a real effort for him to become that willfully stupid.

' Nor is he worried by the deaths of several hundred compatriots. Mr Johansson is anxious that the bar girl he has his eye on is going to keep holding out on him. "I'm having a good holiday," he said. "I went for a walk along the sand this morning, did a bit of swimming. Now I'm off drinking, and then we'll see." '
Now you know how good the Germans were feeling as all the Jews "disappeared".

Sure, I hope horrible things happen to their private parts, but maybe, just maybe, the best thing for the countries involved would be things to return to as near normal as possible as soon as possible. Sure, these guys are ghouls, but they are bringing foreign dollars into the country, they will go home and say how much of a good holiday they had and encourage their mates to go. All of which maybe will do more for the countries' recovery than everyone cancelling their trips.
You don't help the countries by staying away in droves.

Obscene, sick, unbelievably crass and vile. All that and much more.
But to a hotel worker who has lost half his/her family and desperately afraid for the survivors, opening the hotel, getting fed and supplied with clean water and paid will be far more important than the bodies of the loved ones he buried in a mass grave the day before. Under the whiplash of survival, the beaches will be cleared quickly, the important tourist areas cleaned up and a cruel sense of normality imposed so that the ghouls and the terminally insensitive can come and relax... with their dollars.

Sounds like he doesn't think much at all.... > It is times like this that I wish for hell to exist, just so these fudge > packers can go there and be reamed by Satans pitchfork for all eternity
They are no different to the ignoramuses who voted for Bush despite him lying to send their kids to die in Iraq.
They may even be more 'evil'......if dogged stupidity can be described as evil.

Actually the Americans who voted for Bush are intelligent enough to know that a Bush defeat would be a win for the Islamo thugs the world over, and they are very passionate about the wellbeing of Iraqis and seeing Iraq through to becoming a Western type democracy. They are therefore nothing like that apathetic lump of stupidity on Petong Beach. But you know that already, Steve, because their comments on the issue are numerous and can easily be found on many Iraqi blogs. Not only that; the U.S. soldier blogs also show resolve to make Iraq into a free and peacefuld democracy. It was through forums where the vast majority of contributors are conservatives or at least pro War-on-Iraq's-dictatorship or War-on-Terrorism that the charity Spirit of America received nearly all its donations for improving the lives of Iraqis. One would have to be a lazy if not an apathetic lump of stupidity to not know at least some of this, or a lying sack of sh*t. I guess people need only toss a coin to discover which trait is yours. Isn't that right, Steve?

I can just imagine Steve lying on a beach back when Saddam ruled Iraq saying "Look, I don't care about mass graves and kids starving in Iraq. When your time is up your time is up".

Here's another one for the collection, Bobs: steve sees the death of 116,000 plus as another pretext to peddle his obsession.
