I read it for the first time. And I just want for the frst time in my life? to agree that it is more a poor desing because funtion allert form.topmost = false msgbox("blalbla","") form.topmost = true will solve the bahaviour.
And not reading this groups has a reason is not it?

 | Ronald, you got the problem wrong. The problem is the dBASE built in error messages are falling behind top most forms. There doesn't seem to be a way to always trap error messages such as numeric overflow/underflow which are not application modal. My original sample form demonstrates this problem.
