 | Hi
I have just tried for, the first time, to use the debugger in 2.5 and find that the 'set step on' line inserted in a program no longer works. Well at least on my win 2000 pro o/s.
All I get is an empty debugger which I can not get to do anything. If I use the debugger from a right click on the file name it works fine.
Can anyone confirm this as a bug or, better still, tell me how to get it working from within a program.

I do have fastest computers the money can buy, although my current hardware is somewhat outdated now (CPU - 2GHz, RAM - 1GBb) so I have bought a new Dell and it is on the way. I will check the debugger on new hardware but as far as my previous experience is concerned I discussed it years ago in this ng. I said that in order to debug I had to insert my own breakdown statements in the source code and it worked much faster for me. Ken M said that he used essentially the same method. It left me satisfied.

I can confirm that. I get an incomplete window. And program execution doesn't stop so that windows and errors happen off screen - yet the debug window is frozen except for the _ and X on the title bar and it can't be moved to allow access to the modal forms that are freezing the process.
No good for me! I must have the debugger.

Can confirm this behaviour too. Sometimes the debugger starts and I _can_ debug. But this is very rare. Most time it is frozen.
