 | We've been using Vic's Printer Class for years--so much more convenient for the apps we write. We're having problems with changing printer properties (like tray selection, copies) in 2.5 (also had the problem in 2.2). Is there anyone else out there using Vic's stuff? Thanks--

Hi Bob, are you saying that you *could* do these things prior to 2.2, or are you saying that the problem has always existed? Do you need a programmatic approach to selecting printer tray and # of copies (vs. selecting in the printer dialog)? If so, I don't have easy answers, but

Don't know about the tray selection--we weren't using that prior to 2.2.
We were using the copies and that was working prior to 2.2. We
noticed the copies problem when a client installed a new PC with XP on
it--at the time we blamed the problem on XP--maybe some compatibility
issue??

Bob, I really have no idea why it would behave differently, although XP seems to have induced several glitches with regard to dBASE apps. Are you referring to the # of copies as set in the dialog or set programmatically? Actually, I am just now having a faint recollection that I have
run into the #-of-copies problem myself, but in older Win versions than XP. I don't recall if it was fixable or not.
I have been gradually switching from Vic's class to ViewPro---an ActiveX printer/previewer that works well with dBASE. It is a very nice piece of software.
