I've got to install our application on a client's network day after
tomorrow.

I'll be installing our execuitables, the dBASE runtime and the BDE on
the client's work stations.

The DBFs and MDXs will go on their server.

The question is, will I need to install the BDE on the server also
(presuming they don't have a BDE already installed on the server)?

Anything else I need to look out for?

Install the BDE on the machine that you are installing the program on
.... there is no need to install it on the server.

Ken -

Thank you for the info. It's something I needed to know.

The only reason you would need to install the BDE on the server would be
if someone were running your application (or some other that needed the
BDE) from the server directly. As this can be very slow (depending on
network server load and all that), it's generally not a good idea.
