alt.radio.satellite Satellite delivered audio radio services.
Charter: alt.radio.satellite is for the discussion of all satellite delivered
radio services, for example XM, Sirius and Worldspace.
Unmarked off-topic materials, binaries (except PGP-type signatures), all
advertising except for personal satellite related for sale items, excessive
posting, cancel attacks, and abusive cross postings are prohibited.
All posts (messages) must be in plain text only and be human-readable.
Justification: A scan of Google Groups for XM "satellite radio", Sirius
"satellite radio" -XM, and "satellite radio" -XM -Sirius showed during the
period of July 25, 2004 until October 25, 2004, there were 512 relevant threads
which discussed satellite radio.
Newsgroup creation was discussed in alt.config starting October 10, 2004 with
message ID for a period of at least
a week. Proper name, sufficient expected traffic. Creation of
alt.radio.satellite was discussed in groups which currently discuss satellite
radio and there has been widespread support for the idea of a dedicated group.
