Hello,
For those people that think a standard Text format would be a good
thing. The W3C is working on Timed Text 1.0 and I put together a
Overview of the latest Working Draft, the Distribution Format Exchange
Profile (DFXP).

This page makes it easy to visualize what goes where in the Working
Draft, and which would hopefully lead to more input which in turn lead
to a better language.
