 | We have about 15 users and an older server with mail and are looking to upgrade in the near future and would like to get an idea of what people are doing in environment similar to ours as well as any comments you may have.
We have a Novell Netware Small Business Server 5.1 with Groupwise 5.5 and we are using Win2k and WinXp on our desktops with Groupwise for email at the desktops.
What are you using for your servers? (ie. Windows, Netware, Linux, etc.) What are you using for email servers? (ie. Exchange, Groupwise, Notes, etc.) What are you using for Email clients? (ie. Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Groupwise, Notes, etc.) Are you using any special software for contact management? (Act, Outlook, Time Matters, Goldmine, etc.)
We have been spoiled by the reliability and stability of our Netware server for the past several years and have been happy with the relative immunity Groupwise provides from viruses and spam. Due to these attributes, we have had to devote minimal time and investment in supporting this environment. We are now debating going to Exchange server/Outlook clients but are concerned about the administrative demand on our staff and the virus and spyware threat that Outlook seems to bring to the table.
We would be interested in hearing how you have dealt with these issues.
Thank You Brad
