The Chain

I wear a chain around my neck in celebration of life.
The first link is the Bible, knowledge that overcomes strife.

Courage is the second link of which this chain is bound.
Do the task at hand, and gain the highest ground.

Commitment intertwines, binding together the three.
The rock of solidarity, forms my base, making my soul free.

Fourth comes Love. The power that makes the chain grow.
Now and forever, my friends and family into this chain I stow.

Faith, the invisible master link, never seen, strong past the end.
Indestructible, woven of wisdom, and knowledge that God does send.

Integrity, the last link, is a reflection of all the chain.
If hidden, all else would be useless and the chain would be our
bane.

The miracle of the chain when removed, and onto a table tossed.
The power of the elements, is a reminder of the old wooden cross.

Radio Priest and the female mind (a transcript)

Woman: I am confused. The man I am with now is the best friend I ever
had, but I think I should go back to the man I was with before, even
though he used to abuse me badly.

Priest: But you really feel a lot for the man you're with now . . . so I
think you should do what your heart tells you!

Woman: My heart tells me to go back to the man who abused me.

Priest: Then you should do what your mind tells you.

Balancing the masculine and the feminine

When I say "Men should encourage women to become more independent,
strong, courageous, and rational" the response from men is always
something like "Do you want to make love to masculine women?"

Fools are concerned only about their own happiness. The plight of truth,
intellect, and the human race are of no concern to them.

Men try to suppress women's individuality and growth not to maintain
power over them, but to preserve their source of beauty and joy. Men do
not find joy in their power over women, but in the weakness, softness,
and innocence of women. Likewise, women do not find their joy in the
power and courage of men, but rather in the love and worship of men.
Thus both es try to maintain the ignorance of the other, for therein

That was a forged post by a USENET vandal known as "hipcrime". Dippy
hates USENET, and especially it hates news.admin.net-abuse.email, so
it wrote a piece of abuseware known as "newsagent" that allows it to
forge supercede posts and force follow-ups to flood NANAE with
thousands of "WTF" posts such as yours.

What to do about it is simple. First, look at the headers of a few
forged posts, and filter on the commonly identifiable elements. Lately
dippy's been abusing news servers in American Universities. If you
subscribe to a service such as Supernews, the filtering is already
done for you. Second, if you feel you MUST reply to a dippyspew post,
look very carefully at where the post will be sent before you send it.
This will ensure that you don't accidentally pollute another group
thus doing dippy's vandalism for it. Third, now that you're immune to
this id10t, join in the defense by posting a message similar to this
one whenever you see a dippyspew in your newsgroup. The more people
who know about dippy, the less damage it can do.
