 | Check out some tools available at www.wayofthemaster.com. This is Kirk Camern's(Growing Pains) partnership ministry. Some awfully blunt but good lessons.

Tom: You're right, that is a great website. It has been about a year since I last visited Way of the Master, but they definitely have some great tools for Christians and pre-Christians. I don't think that I would consider this a scam, because the point of their ministry is primarily to provide Christians with resources like books, bibles, and teaching series on how to better evangelize - - of course that cost money, but I don't that Kirk nor Ray are desperate to make a quick buck. I saw them in Fridley, MN last year and they did charge nominal admission, but also gave you a copy of their book. I have the approach that as Christians we are inundated with ministries trying to sell us stuff and we need to be smart about NOT buying books and tapes just because we might be a better Christian if we do, but only if we really need and are going to use those products.
I also wanted to point out something that we have discussed which is evangelism -vs- discipleship. As Christians we need to keep in mind that we aren't all called be evangelists, but we are all called to disciple (Mark 28:19). I know that may sound a bit unrealistic considering Jesus said to go to all nations and preach the Gospel, but what I am getting at is that Kirk and Ray seem to be reminding us or even burdening us with the ministry of evangelism when not all believers are gifted in that area. The most effective way to get people saved is not by walking up to strangers on the street but to develop and build relationships with people you already know. I think street evangelism plants seeds, but it also casts negativity from non-believers while giving believers a false sense of accomplishment. We need to ask God to bring us into people's lives and to let us know what and when to approach them with the Gospel. This doesn't require purchasing any materials except a Bible and spending time getting to know the people around you.

On looking into it, I accessed the "WHO ARE YOU" section, and looked at the first area.
All it wantsw is MONEY.
Thatr is not what TRUE Christianity is about, and personally, I would NOT endorse that site. :O(
