Prove to me this isn't just a scam to harvest credit card information.
There's no money in selling ads online unless you have a site with millions of visitors. I've tried to sell classified ads for years on boatingincanada.com, a site with large "boater" visitor numbers and very high Google rating - few individuals and no marine businesses have bought any (beyond the free month for personal ads). As for display advertising, I have an American company - only one Canadian marine business has ads!
In my experience most marine businesses think that having a Web site is all that is required to attract new online customers. In the non-marine world, I maintain a community Web site that struggles to convince local business of the value of spending $50 a year to be in a business directory, including a banner ad and a Web page that can be found near the top of Web searches. Sorry, sliding off-topic... -- * http://BoatinginCanada.com *
