 | Good point Fred. The word "marriage" may have so much baggage and
historical significance tied to it that it will resist popular
redefinition, no matter what the law says.
Canada is not as liberal as the Liberals sometimes think. With less
then 1% of the world acknowledging marriage, many Canadians are not
yet ready to accept this change. Civil unions, at this point in time,
would have been much better.
