For 8 of the past 10 years (spent 2 years on the 9 pm - 6 am shift), I've
been getting up at 4:30 am, to get ready to be at work for 6 am. Work,
many days lugging heavy boxes around, up & down ladders, etc, until 2:30 -
3 pm daily. Then I come home to prepare/cook dinner, do laundry, clean
house (and/or the fridge or stove), do grocery shopping, along with the
million and one other things one has to do when one is a wife and mother, as
well. Fortunately I no longer have children at home (in fact, didn't work
until the youngest was in high school), but many women work in very
demanding or exhausting (mentally and/or physically) jobs outside the home,
then have to look after not only the work inside the home, but with
babies/young children to care for too. On top of that, some are even
pregnant with 2nd/3rd children etc.

Don't know how those women in the military cope with it all, especially when
they also have kids. Hopefully they have husbands/partners who know how to
make their own damn muffins!

I'll make sure I forward Paul's statement to his new love. tears away> I'm sure she'll be pleased to know that he's planning to
support her so she can stay home all day. Maybe she'll make him some
"special" muffins to celebrate.

And, I'll be sure to inform my boss that over half the workforce at the
school bus company is planning to stay home and make muffins and listen
to the radio instead of chauffeuring the children to school in the big
yellow limousines. He'll be absolutely thrilled to bits!
