Finally, a real ISP with a News Server...
Officially, I have moved out of the Hotel, the 9x9 bedroom with 4 sock sized
bureau drawers was just too much for me. It contained about 600 sq ft, and I
found a Brand Spankin' New Fully Furnished, Internet Ready, Cable TV,
Telephone, and heated underground parking, and about 700 sq ft of playspace.
Hmm.. as I look out to see the new white crap falling from the sky, I
remember that I left my veggies in the trunk of the car, in the heated
parking... Might have to buy more carrots, if I forget to bring them up to
the fridge..

I am around the corner from the a 24 hour LOEB (Grocery Store) and more
importantly, the LCBO (Liquor Store). Hope I like it here, so far, its
great.

So, although I have been reading along, and Susan has been forwarding
important posts to me, this is the first time since July that I was able to
just read, post, reply in newsgroups. Mind you, the link I got might be for
a dial up, its been downloading all the unread messages in two groups for
over 8 hours.. This might be the Rogers Lite High Speed Internet (like a
constantly connected 56K modem) . We will see..

Anyway, just wanted to "do the deed" and make my first post. there, I
did it.. back to your regularly scheduled rants..

The Queensway sucks. I can make better time on Hunt Club Road or one of the
others. Everyone picks a lane, sets the sight-seeing speed, and gradually
crawl right up on the bumper of the car ahead, and no one will move right..
not even when I point the gun right at them. They are stupid people.. The
Refreshments wrote a song about them.. (Banditos) "The World Is Full Of
Stupid People.. " Well, it is, but most of them live in the Nation's
Capitol City. We have crazy drivers in NS, but there is less per capita.

Hey, all this time I have been going to sea, and now with budgets restrains
and fewer ships, sailors and no duty free treats and things. Its not a
port-visitin'-rum-drinkin'-down-South-to-paint-ship Navy anymore. its kinda
boring, No manpower, no money, more work for fewer persons. No reward at the

Hahaha.. Well, figuratively speaking, we lived a long time down in the hole
and got fed crap, I have met most of the policy makers up here: They really
think this is the Navy too.. where they work in Ottawa. I gotta run with the
flow..

I don't care, I don't care.. Someone has to keep an eye on the big
wigs who make the decisions. If they were in Slackers, the Base Chief would
have a massive coronary just seeing the many articles of clothing that they
think is a uniform, all that and missing parts. Gotta go get myself one of
those Wal-Mart touques, they are about 6 bucks cheaper than the issued ones.
The gloves are warmer too. Now if I can just get some black boots with real
treads, I can safely wear my make-shift uniform to work...

Forced??? All I have to do is point you in the direction of a bottle and
it's emptied. The audience at O'Brien's now asks you to sing
specific songs - and might even buy you a drink if you promised to sing

I get a lot of nonsense in my email all the time. What I want are naked
