 | Hope Santa was good to all Brats, everywhere!! Many thanks for your anniversary & birthday wishes. The Kipper & I had a great week-end. Christmas Eve went out for dinner, where I had my most favourite food (surf & turf) ... then a few quiet drinks later at home ....
Christmas Day: dinner at a sister & brother-in-law's, joined by another sister and our youngest brother. First time we've have been together for Christmas dinner in about 20 years! [Two siblings have passed away.] B/i/l's elderly aunts were present. One is aged 89, & a walking disaster waiting to happen ... you never know what she will do, & the 'accidents' are so .. well ... you can't help yourself, you have to laugh .... Another Brat (lived next door to us in FHH, many years ago & was 1st husband of our s/i/l's ...), his wife and their son joined us for dinner. Other mutual friends dropped by in the early evening, for chatter & munchies ... & three of them are Brats! Super day.
Boxing Day, down to our daughter's + her husband & 2 little boys (near Kemptville), along with our son, his lady & 10 year old grandson. Noisy, with 3 children & 3 dogs, but lots of fun and surprises. Our daughter is expecting again (4th Aug). Fingers crossed for a girl this last time!
.... and I will have 5 days off (co-workers got similar), from Thurs, returning to work on Tues ... which was a great surprise. We are in the midst of moving into a brand new store, whilst trying to keep the current one operational, so we were expecting the days owed to be deferred 'til after the grand opening Jan 27th. Bonus!
The Kipper & I wish each and every Brat here, a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year ... may 2005 bring all you fondest dreams true.
'Lang may yer lum(s) reek.'
wrcn .... every good girl loves a sailor ...
