 | Hello All,
I'm from the IT field and I'm not related to the Medical or HealthCare
field at all.
However, we are in the process of studying an HealthCare Application
that caters to Clinical Management System which includes Encounters,
Orders, Items, Results ... etc(not the Practice Management System that
addresses Appointments, Schedules, Billing, Bed Allocation).
Since I'm not from the Medical Field, I really dont know the process
that is involved starting from the time a patient walks into a Clinic
or a Hospital. I believe that understanding the actual process would
help me in understanding the application better.
I would appreciate if someone can point me toward a document, book
that explains processes related to these well.
Also, if I'm looking for a HealthCare glossary that would clarify
terms such as Encounter, Orders, Items, Results ... etc. Would anyone
know where I can find more info on these terms ?
