RAMALLAH, West Bank, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- A 12-year-old
Palestinian boy carrying a toy gun was shot and killed by Israeli
troops Thursday in the northern West Bank.
The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, said the boy was struck
by several bullets.
Israeli Radio said the troops mistook a toy rifle the boy
was carrying for a real weapon and opened fire.
Residents said the boy, Salhaddin Abu Mohsen, was among a
crowd of youths who were throwing rocks at the troops in Toubas.
