 | GAZA, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Two Palestinians were killed and four others injured by Israeli army fire in separate incidents in Gaza Thursday, Palestinian sources said. Tank-backed Israeli troops under heavy fire moved into al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing a 22-year-old man and wounding four others, the sources said. Another Palestinian was killed early Thursday in an army thrust into the Fados area in the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip in an operation aimed at arresting wanted Palestinians. The sources said that Alaa Hosanna was killed while driving a pregnant woman to a hospital. They said Israeli soldiers shot Hosanna in the neck and the woman was wounded. Meanwhile, Israel radio reported troops fired near the man's vehicle because he was speeding toward them and they feared a car bombing attack. The report said as a result of the gunfire the driver lost control and the car flipped over, presumably resulting in the deaths. Also Thursday, Israeli sources said troops arrested 23 Palestinians in several parts of Gaza and the West Bank for interrogation on suspicion of involvement in attacks against them.
