 | An acquaintance of mine has a p/390 that recently had a RAID problem and lost its disks - it is mainly used for historical inquiries anyway, but would be nice to get back going. Anyway, he had OS/2 backups, and VSE backups which have all restored nicely. His VTAM and CICS are back up - but he can only connect thru his console sessions. His network pc's cannot connect. His client TN/3270 pc's show a destination of the os/2 ip address and port 7490. We have added some (not all) of the terminal addresses from VTAM back into the P/390 configurator as LAN3274 devices. The missing devices get vtam errors, but the added ones don't. We check the LAN3274 manager parameters and it does show port 7490. He can ping the OS/2 ip address successfully. Does anyone have any idea why his network PC's would not connect back in? Thanks.

 | Hello Jeff,
is the /R= parameter used on the terminal definitions in the configurator and do they use the LU Name parameter in their TN3270 emulation program? Or the other way round: No /R=, no LU name.
