 | Hi,
I am trying to find a transformation such that if i know 2 points, i would like to calculate the coordinates of the third point.(of a shape of known geometry)
To explain my particluar example, i have posted an image to http://www.imagestash.com/uploads/36988.jpg , and alt.binaries.ozdebate
I have an upsidedown T shape of which i know the goemetry,(lengths AB, AC, B to midpoint AC) If i always know the coordinates of points A and B, how can i find a transformation matrix such that i can find point C.
Thanks for any help on this, (I have tried to lookup my old uni notes and text books, but it seems the transformation matrix is always given!)
Mac (ps. i know i could use trigonometry, but i would prefer to find the transformation)
