 | Hello everyone
I had a carpet cleaner come to my place to clean the carpet last week.
He damaged the screen door, by breaking off the rivets on the top hinge.
Can I ask that the firm fix it?
Thank you
Annabella

 | If the door was not broken already then yes you can claim damages that the carpet cleaner caused.

yes as Rod said you can. They have a duty of care- to perform their tasks without causing any damage. You can ask them to fix it or to pay to fix it.
The only problem may be that they dispute their fellow did the damage, then it is up to you to provide reasonable proof he did.

Yep unless it was partly broken already.
