More quotes from the man widely acknowledged to be the most evil leader of the last century:
"What we have to fight for...is the freedom and independence of the fatherland, so that our people may be enabled to fulfill the mission assigned to it by the Creator"
"This human world of ours would be inconceivable without the practical existence of a religious belief".
"Any violence which does not spring from a spiritual base, will be wavering and uncertain"

....and from the man acknowledged by many to be the greatest leader of the last century:
"I am ready to meet my maker, but whether my maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter".

 | Why was Hitler worse than Stalin and Mao? They killed millions more, and of their own nations. David McKay

What about Pol Pot?
I'm not going to debate that - it was the irony that stood out: One leveraged religion for political ends and the other (who arguably saved democracy) did not. One had no doubts about his cause, the other had the wisdom to question his own judgement.

So, you tell us why you agree or disagree with Hitler and/or Churchill.

I'm not tempted - the opposite.
The striking observation here is that Hitler sought to eliminate all potential competitors - including natural forces, whilst Churchill recognised natural laws. Make no mistake, Churchill was a control freak too - he leveraged a whole nation to defeat Hitler. Nowadays we have Greenspan and Bush - how will we see them in 30 years time?
