Looking for recommendations for amplifiers. I want 5 channels, producing
high-quality sound, with sufficient power to drive an Equinox Apogee or
a VAF I-93, and backed by at least a two-year warranty.
I currently have a Rotel RMB-1095 5x200w and a Rotel RB-1090 2x380w, and
I've been happy with Rotel, but if I go up a level in speaker quality,
then I think I should move from mid-level ampliciation to something a
bit better. They can drive the speakers mentioned above, but I'm not
sure if I'll be getting the best sound of them. The Rotels are nice, but
maybe just a bit grainy on more revealing speakers.
I currently have a Rotel RSP-1068 pre-processor, but I'm not looking to
replace this just yet.
My budget is $5000. Dunno if this is realistic for the requirements
listed above. Any recommendations?
