I also saw an LG8900 for around $150 which does all that and has a memory
stick slot too!
with a 1g card, it would be easy to move data between the lounge and the
study to watch episodes and movies etc.

Will the LG play smooth frame video through the memory slot?

U could get one on ebay.com.au for around $60+ plus p&h.

Just successfully bid for Digitrex GK4000 (prograssive scan, dvix & mp4, 1yr
warranty) or Hyundai (no prograssive scan, but have 3yr warranty) for around
the same price.
