86CM Panasonic Widescreen (TX-86PW300A] Should i buy it ??

Ivebeen looking for a widescreen 86cm tv for some time. Its been
between Sony, Toshibia and Panasonic.

I know the sony is the BEST TV, but being somthing like 1500 dollars
more well that aint going to happen, if it had DVI and or HDMI
connectors i would concider it but it dont so i wont. I would rather
use that 1500 bucks and put that towards a HD DVD capable TV when they
come out. Crt if possible or better gen Plasma, LCD or other.

Anyone if you have the Panasonic Tv some feedback would be great hows
it look, any regrets, any tips to improve picture, best way to set it
up, anything.

I rearly bought it today, i have the money, the Tv shoudl do me a good
2 years as a main TV longer if HD Movies has its format wars like it
allways does.

Thanks for any help, any feedback would be great.

/ps might buy it tomorrow :), i realy realy want to.

I was in Nth ryde the other day and saw the SONY 86cm (I GOT ONE ALREADY) it
was $3900.at Dick Smtih Powerehouse in maquarie centre
How much do they want for the Panasonic ?
Also It may have been salesmen CRAP but they told me as I was buy the Sony
that the Panasonic was not a real flat screen , and it was curved behind a
flat panel. Anyway as I said not sure if that was crap or not.
Good luck with your hunting, its a hard decision, but in my opinion the a
CRT is the way to go.

I got quoted 2600 bucks for the Pana 300a for cash on my holidays, so
thats 1300 dollars cheaper for the Pana :)

I know the Sony is better but 1300 dollars better ?, i dont think so,
iam going to put that 1300 bucks away and put it towards the better
TVS that are coming out.

I might even go the Toshibia 86cm, as that has 720p you never know i
might need 720p in Australia.

Thanks.
